By 2030, Microsoft will aim to replenish more water than it uses across water-stressed basins.<\/p><p>Around 40 highly stressed water basins located near Microsoft operations will be prioritised, while replenishment strategies will be rolled out across its new data centre region in\u00a0Arizona alongside locations including Silicon Valley, Israel, Hyderabad, and Puget Sound.<\/p><p>The tech giant will also work\u202fwith\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eur01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.microsoft.com%2Fen-us%2Fai%2Fai-for-earth&amp;data=01%7C01%7CMattMace%40fav-house.com%7C6adbc8617c514565a22908d85e42e099%7C5faa4269d37a4c5d9c1a37ecfe512c9a%7C0&amp;sdata=EqiUKBRYR42idPs7AgcQQmejQUGjPUmkNZkRMkotnrE%3D&amp;reserved=0\">AI for Earth\u202fgrantees<\/a>\u202fto\u202fcollect water data to better management replenishment strategies. A $10m Climate Innovation Fund investment\u202fin\u202fthe Emerald Technology Ventures\u2019 Global\u202fWater\u202fImpact\u00a0Fund will also be issued by Microsoft.<\/p><p>In addition, the company will partner with water.org to ensure more than 1.5 million people have access to clean drinking water.
