Futurebuild would like to take this opportunity to thank the industry for attending its 2020 event during such a time of uncertainty.<\/p>

There\u2019s no question that this year\u2019s event brought together the most innovative and forward-thinking brands from across the world with leading decision makers who all share a common purpose, delivering a more sustainable built environment. Everyone who took part in Futurebuild 2020 is passionate about, and committed to, coming together to help solve the climate emergency.<\/p>

Even before the doors to the event opened, Futurebuild saw an impressive increase in the number of senior level decision makers registering to attend, with figures up by 41%. Over the three days, decision makers and purchasers or influencers made up 88% of visitors.<\/p>

Following this year\u2019s event, we asked those who attended to share their feedback to help us plan for next year. The majority of visitors overwhelmingly agree that Futurebuild is the \u201cmust attend\u201d event for industry with 91% off attendees saying they were satisfied with Futurebuild 2020 and over 70% of respondents saying they are likely to join us again in 2021.<\/p>

Of those exhibiting over the course of the three days, 84% said they are likely to return to future events, contributing to the highest level of exhibitor satisfaction in Futurebuild history.<\/p>

John Quinn, Chief Executive of Futurebuild Innovation Partner, Photonomi, praised the event, saying: \u201cFuturebuild is a show which we consider as the Oscars of the built environment. People come from across the world to attend this show. It\u2019s an important event for our business and that is why we are here.\u201d<\/p>

Visitors and exhibitors alike have praised the 2020 edition of Futurebuild\u2019s industry leading knowledge programme. One of the most successful Arena sessions at this year\u2019s event was \u2018Let\u2019s hear it from young people\u2019, which gave young people the platform to join the forefront of the demand for more urgent action on the climate and ecological emergency. Cloud Harney-Romero, Lincolnshire Climate Conscious Student, who took to the stage said: \u201cFuturebuild has given young people the opportunity to spread our message far and wide. We\u2019ve learnt so much through attending the event too.\u201d<\/p>

Theo Griffiths, Lincolnshire Climate Conscious Student, added: \u201cFuturebuild supports and encourages innovations to be developed that pave the way for a more sustainable future.\u201d<\/p>

Content from \u2018Let\u2019s hear it from young people\u2019, along with all of the thought-provoking sessions from across Futurebuild 2020 is now available on Futurebuild Now. In collaboration with ACO and hosted on the Colab platform, visitors are able to view all the sessions from the Arena programme and six Keynote Stages OnDemand. The platform is free to access by simply signing up, and a free CPD certification is provided after viewing. On top of OnDemand content Futurebuild Now will be offering thought provoking live streamed content throughout the year.<\/p>

There\u2019s no ignoring the fact that this year\u2019s event took place during an extremely challenging time, and a lot of people continue to face a great deal of uncertainty as the world looks to tackle the coronavirus pandemic. However, Futurebuild continues to put the climate change emergency front and centre of discussions. While the situation surrounding COVID-19 resulted in a slight drop in visitors, Futurebuild is confident that the event still provided a platform for industry to come together and help find solutions to the biggest issues facing the built environment.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Martin Hurn, Event Director of Futurebuild, said: \u201cThe industry is quickly moving forward to a time of huge transformation. If we are to meet and exceed the carbon reduction targets set by the government the construction industry needs to come together and act now. We all have a huge part to play in reducing the effects of climate change and driving a more sustainable built environment.<\/p>

\u201cAt Futurebuild 2021 we will ask what progress have we made since the 2020 event, what actions plans are in place going forward? Is the industry in agreement about what it must do? Futurebuild will not only showcase the solutions but drive action through collaboration.\u201d<\/p>

Preparations are well underway for next year, with Futurebuild taking on board feedback from both visitors and exhibitors to make the 2021 edition even more successful and engaging than this year\u2019s event.<\/p>
